Blissful bedrooms with plenty of space
From rich, berry tones to sandy, seaside neutrals, our bedrooms have been designed as havens away from the world. Sumptuous Molton Brown toiletries are provided throughout for the ultimate pampering experience. All beds can be made up as either singles or super king sized beds.
Bedroom 1: Contains either a super king size bed or two single beds as well as a spacious seating area. There is a generous ground floor ensuite bathroom, tiled throughout. Hidden behind a curved wall, there is a real spa feel to its walk-in power shower, toilet and wash basin.
Bedroom 2: Contains either a super king size bed or two single beds. Indulge in a spa-like bathing experience in the mezzanine ensuite. There is a toilet, wash basin and a luxurious bath for a proper soak. Let the cares of everyday life float away as you bathe under the stars visible through the skylight.
Bedroom 3: Contains either a super king size bed or two single beds. Its ensuite spa bathroom is on the mezzanine level above the sleeping area. Take in the stars through the skylight as you soak in your very own traditional tub.
Bedroom 4: Contains either a super king size bed or two single beds. There is a ground floor ensuite, with a walk-in power shower, toilet and two wash basins. Its mezzanine level provides a cosy nook to relax in.
On request, we can set up two single beds on the mezzanine floor of Bedroom 4 for a £75 supplement per additional person. This extends the sleeping capacity of The Hay Barn from eight to 10. We can also supply cots.
A warm welcome in the living room
Put your feet up and relax on our comfortable sofas, seating eight. Rustle up some popcorn for great film nights in with a Large 4K smart TV with Netflix and DVD player. A Bose speaker surround sound system can be used for music or watching television. In the winter, you can cosy up by the log burning stove in the herringbone-bricked inset within the stone fireplace.
Dramatic double-height dining room
Hosting the extended family? Having visitors round for dinner? This fabulous space contains an impressive dining table to seat all guests. A warming gas-effect fire gives instant heat while the Bose speaker system helps set the mood.
Huge farmhouse kitchen
From a microwave to a washer/dryer, this is a dream kitchen of granite worktops and wooden cabinets in which to cook. There’s a Rangemaster oven and a five ring gas burner, complete with electric hot plate. The American-style fridge freezer’s icemaker guarantees cold drinks on a hot summer’s day. There’s also a coffee maker, four slice toaster, dishwasher and kettle. With a table seating eight, it’s a prime spot to catch up with family and friends over breakfast or midnight feasts.
Indoor and outdoor delights
The Cherrygarth leisure suite, mini-gym, outdoor hot tub and south-facing patio and barbeque area in the gardens are there for all our guests to enjoy. Find out more in Our cottages.
Laundry and boot room
There’s a combined washing machine and tumble dryer in The Hay Barn’s kitchen. There is also a spacious, separate boot room accessible to both our cottages, next to the leisure suite. For our North American friends, a boot room is the British equivalent of a mud room. It’s the perfect place to sort out sports equipment or dogs and children back from a walk. Drop off your coats, kick off your boots, then head back to the haven of your cottage or step next door to the oasis of the leisure suite.
Double up for large gatherings
The Hay Barn can also be booked along with The Stables across the courtyard garden to accommodate larger groups of between 12 to 14 guests.
